On behalf of our team at EQWIP HUBs, welcome to our online Community of Practice: Communications Focus!! This is a space for EQWIP HUBs volunteers who are focusing on Communications in their role to ask questions, share experiences, tips, ideas and inspirations as you progress through your EQWIP HUBs experience. We are thrilled to have you along with us on this journey. This community is a place for you to connect with other volunteers focusing on Communications, to access relevant resources and to engage in discussions to support your work on the ground.

We are very excited to be a part of this process with all of you. Like most things in life, you will get as much out of this online community of practice as you put into it which means that participation is a significant component of it.

Community Details

Thank you for joining our Community of Practice! This is a place to support you, your growth, and your work with the EQWIP HUBs project. This is a place to connect with volunteers working at other EQWIP HUBs around the world who are also focusing on Communications. You can support each other with challenges that may arise and provide inspirations for one another.

Within this Community of Practice, you can find multiple components to enhance your overall global community experience. Here is a breakdown of what you can expect to find:

Guidelines for Use

This space is intended to be a safe space for learning and sharing. We are confident that all of you will treat others within this space with respect and support. If you have any concerns regarding the integrity of this space or would like to report any misconduct, you are encouraged to privately message one of the administrators of the space. The EQWIP Staff can be found through the Participants tab. By selecting Actions you can choose to Send a Message that will be viewed only by that person.

Updates

Updates by the community facilitator, name, will be posted as announcements on the homepage of this online learning community. By clicking on View All, you can see if you have missed any past announcements that were posted here.

Discussions

This is a great place to post questions to the group, to share what you have learned from your experience at your EQWIP HUB and to learn from your peers who are doing similar work all around the world. On the left-hand side, under Learning Community Tools, you will see a tab for Discussions. You can start a new Discussion by posting a New Thread.

Blogs

If you have a story or experience that you would like to share with the other EQWIP HUBs Volunteers, please feel free to post it in here. We can learn a great deal from each other's stories and they can help strengthen our understanding of the work we are doing on a global scale.

Resources

This tab is where resources can be shared. If you know of a resource that might be useful to your peers, please add it here. As well, the facilitator of this space may also add resources in this space. You can categorize resources into Folders. To include an online resources select Add Bookmark and to include a resource from your computer select Upload File. Please feel free to look around!

Gallery

Some useful resources may come in the form of a video or image. These can be included in the gallery. This can also be a place to share a video or image from your experience at your EQWIP HUB.

Map

Add your location to our map! We can see just how global our network really is.
